Course Overview

This course provides the required 20 hour basic Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy firearms bearer certification course for Private Security Officers.  This is required by Ohio Law for armed Ohio Security Officers (ORC 4749 Private Investigators; Security Services 4749.10(A)1). 

Officers taking this course must achieve passing grade on both written classroom oriented test and qualifying range testing to pass and further qualify for certification.
